Community Guidelines

The International Network for Ecopsychology aims to provide a welcoming, respectful and constructive community for people interested in ecopsychology and the relationship between human wellbeing and the natural world.

Members and contributors are expected to:

• communicate respectfully and value different professional, cultural and personal perspectives;
• avoid discriminatory, abusive, threatening or personally insulting language;
• respect privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries;
• distinguish personal opinion from research evidence or established professional guidance;
• provide sources where appropriate and avoid knowingly sharing false or misleading information;
• obtain permission before sharing another person’s work, images or personal information;
• keep promotional posts relevant, accurate and proportionate;
• avoid giving individual medical, psychological or therapeutic advice within Network discussions; and
• comply with applicable professional codes, laws and ethical standards.

Constructive discussion and respectful disagreement are welcome. Posts or comments that are inappropriate, misleading, excessively promotional or inconsistent with these guidelines may be edited or removed. Repeated or serious breaches may result in restricted participation or removal from the Network.

Membership of the Network does not constitute professional accreditation, registration, certification or endorsement.

Concerns about content or conduct may be reported to the Network’s administrators for review.
